The 6-week program is designed to give you everything you need to use these methods in your own life and experience meaningful benefits that may continue to unfold over time. However, if you want more, you'll have the opportunity to continue to work with me in individual therapy to dig deeper and go further.
What does the Mind Over IBS™ program include?
Unlike individual gut-brain therapy, which is completely personalized, Mind Over IBS™ is a structured skills-based training program that includes 6 sessions. Here's what we cover:
- In session 1, you'll learn all about the gut-brain connection and how it can create the vicious cycle of symptoms and suffering associated with a sensitive gut.
- In session 2, you'll learn how to take control of your nervous system to restore healthy balance and effective gut-brain communication.
- Session 3 will introduce you to the gold-standard method in evidence-based gut-brain therapy, gut-directed Cognitive Behavior Therapy. You'll learn how to master your mindset to manage your symptoms.
- So much of what goes on in disorders of gut-brain interaction occurs at the subconscious level. In session 4, I'll offer you tools from guided imagery and gut-directed hypnosis to tap into your subconscious capacity to calm your irritable gut.
- In this session, you'll focus on self-care and lifestyle enhancement, exploring the value of Positive Psychology to build your inner strength and rewire your brain for gut resilience.
- Now that you're equipped with a toolbox of strategies for symptom relief and empowerment, session 6 will teach you a proven behavioral approach to taking back your life!
Each session also includes helpful worksheets and practice assignments so the results you experience are both measurable and meaningful!
At the end of just 6 weeks, you will have a personalized plan to take control of your symptoms and your life based on the best evidence-based and cutting-edge brain-gut science.
